About Soluxa
We believe solar panels should harmonize beautifully with our surroundings.
That's why we develop colored solar panels that blend seamlessly with the aesthetics of any building, from historic downtown to modern new construction.
Soluxa was created in 2018 as a spin-off from Radboud University in Nijmegen. With a small team, we develop and produce the colored panels in the Netherlands. The unique Vibrant colors of our solar panels come from fundamental scientific research. Since 2018, we have been testing our panels on the roof and facade of the Huygens building in Nijmegen, among other places.
For Architects
For architects, we offer complete freedom of color – choose the color that best matches your building. Our panels deliver the highest efficiency on the market, are very competitively priced compared to traditional façade cladding, and – in our humble opinion – provide the most beautiful results. That’s why we invite you to visit our projects in person. Soluxa can provide color samples and installation advice for your project.
Jan Terlouw Innovation Award
We are proud to have won the Jan Terlouw Innovation Award This recognition gives confidence in our concept as well as in our company. It confirms that we are well on our mission to integrate solar energy into every environment.

Soluxa is actief binnen het Interreg programma PV RESILIENCE.
PV RESILIENCE aims to boost circular and sustainable PV innovations in the cross-border region of South Netherlands and Flanders by developing methods and processes related to the dismantling, repair, upgrading, reuse, and enhanced durability of solar panels.
By bringing together expertise in areas such as circular plastics and glass recycling, a truly European value chain for sustainable solar energy can emerge.
Soluxa will ensure that these European innovations can be aesthetically integrated into the built environment.
For more information about this project, visit the Interreg website on PV RESILIENCE.
